Inmate Text App
If you have a friend or family member who is currently incarcerated, the best way to stay connected with them is through an inmate texting application. These apps are designed to be in compliance with prison regulations and permit family and friends to send messages, photos video calls, eCards and money to their trust accounts in prison. In addition to these messaging apps, there are also numerous federal inmate applications that provide additional services like video visitation and phone calls.
The JPay application, for example, enables family and friends to easily send money into the trust account of an inmate along with images, emails, eCards, and video grams. It also lets them make personalized postcards with personal photos. It's a more secure, more secure alternative to postal mail.
Another popular texting app for inmates is GettingOut, which offers "simple and reliable communication" between inmates and their loved family members. The app is available at select correctional facilities and federal inmate text app allows prisoners to upload photos and communicate with family members and friends on their tablets. It costs inmates $0.25 for each message, and loved ones pay for the data used to view their messages (but not for explicit images). The GettingOut app allows you to upload photos to Facebook or Foursquare and then check in to Foursquare and also add the option of a YouTube video.
